Blog marketing is a favourite marketing method of mine and I think everyone should have a blog. I have a blog for just about every product that I promote which means it keeps me busy keeping them all updated.
I usually concentrate on one blog and promoting one product at a time and when that blog and product start showing some great sales results then I may move on to another one. Then the established blogs just need to be kept up to date every now and then but not as big an effort as they need in the beginning.
Blogs tend to be seen in the search engines and receive more traffic much quicker than a website and they are extremely easy to create and update.
You can also monetize your blog with Adsense if you choose but I prefer just to use them for promoting products.
Every time I add a post to my blogs I submit the post to social bookmarking sites which gets your posts seen and your blog receives a lot of traffic through these sites.

Should you have a free blog or paid hosting?
Free blogs are ok and many people use them but personally I prefer to have paid hosting for all my blogs which only costs me $9.95 a month to host all my blogs and websites which is pretty cheap.
If you only plan on hosting blogs and not websites then it will only cost $7.95 a month for an unlimited number of blogs. You will also have to purchase a domain name and I use a lot of .info names which are only about $3 for a year.
So at such low pricing I think it’s crazy to have a free blog when it really doesn’t cost that much for paid blogs and it gives you a much more professional looking blog which will give you more credibility as an expert in your field.
