Adsense is a fantastic way to earn money online but you’ll be making a big mistake if you just rush into it without reading a good Adsense Guide first.  Although Adsense looks relatively easy, chances are that if you don’t do it right you wont make too much money with it.

There are just little things to do that can make a huge difference between making a few cents and a few hundred dollars every month with your adsense website.

Things like the color of the ads, the size of the ad blog that you use, the placement of the ads on your site, building traffic to your site and even the content that you have on your site can affect how much money you will make from your adsense ads.

One thing you want to do is to have a good quality site - which will make a big difference to whether Google will like your site or not and can therefore make a big difference to your sites ranking.  Also, your content determines the topic of the ads placed on your site and you really want to have the correct topic ads showing.  If you have a site about dogs and your adsense ads are about cars, then no-one is going to click on them.  Your visitors are looking for information on dogs, not on cars, so it is important that you use good keywords throughout your site to get the right ads placed onto your sites.

Good content will also encourage people to click on your ads, if you have very little content and just pages full of advertising, then there is a good chance that your visitors will just close your site all together and never come back.

Good content will keep your visitors coming back and when they come back they may click on your ads - so good content is always important.

The problem with Adsense is that if you just shove them on your page any old way, you could have a ton of traffic and not get any clicks. However, if you spend a little time in setting up your Adsense campaigns and get them right, you can make a lot of money.

Here are 5 tips on what you can do to improve your adsense income:

1. Choose the Adsense box size that converts well. The large rectangle is a known converter and just by replacing a different size box with the large rectangle may increase your revenue. With the large rectangle box, the ads look like normal web links and therefore your visitors are more likely to click on them. This is the main aim with your adsense ads, is to blend them to look like the rest of your site.

2. Choose the adsense color to blend with your site. When creating your adsense campaign you can change the colors of the background, border, title, text and link. By choosing the background and border colors to match those of your website the ads will blend nicely with your site and as a result wont stand out as being ads.

3. Try to place your adsense ads above the fold on your site. This means that they appear on the top half of the page so your visitors can see them without scrolling down. If a visitor doesn’t find your website page all that appealing they may leave your site without scrolling down. If you have adsense ads near the top of the page then at least they may choose to leave your site via clicking one of your ads.

4. Make sure your adsense ads are relevant to your site content. Google choose which ads to put on your site by the keywords of your site, so make sure your site is keyword optimized so that relevant ads will be place on your site.

5. Drive lots of traffic to your site. Let’s face it, if you aren’t getting traffic then you aren’t going to make very much money with adsense. Many people will set up their websites and then lose interest and move onto something else. This is their big mistake. Your website needs time and work in promoting it and building it up in the search engines. The higher ranking your site has the more traffic you will have coming through.

These tips are some of the main points to work with when setting up your site to make money with adsense. These tips have worked well for me and for many other internet marketers.

So does Adsense make money? It sure does, if you set your site up correctly there is no reason why you wont find yourself generating a nice little adsense income.

Article Marketing is one of the most effective ways to promote either your own products or affiliate products and the best thing is that it is free. However, many people try article marketing and fail and there is a big reason for their failure. They just don’t do it right! Here are the five rules that will make your article marketing successful.

Rule number one: Have a great title and make it relevant to your article. If your title doesn’t grab the attention of those browsing then they aren’t going to click onto your article to read it. Your title plays a huge role in how many views your article will get. You should try and include your keywords in your title so that your title stands out when people search for those keywords.

Rule number two: Just as the title needs to grab readers attention, so does the summary. The summary is a couple of sentences that people will see usually just under your title and if they like what they see in the summary then they will click to read the full article. Don’t just copy the first couple of sentences from your article into the summary, but use these couple of sentences to sell your article and entice visitors to click and read.

Rule number three: Don’t forget to include website links in the resource box at the end of your article. Some article directories may let you include links within the article but most don’t so it is best to just put them in the resource box. Many will not allow affiliate links either so I recommend doing a redirect from your own website to the affiliate link.

Rule number four: Make your article interesting to keep the reader’s attention right to the end. Your readers aren’t going to click the link to visit your website if the article didn’t interest them, so always offer good quality information in your articles.

Rule number five: Even though you want to offer good quality information, you don’t want to give away too much. It is good to be a little mysterious and only offer enough information to grab the reader’s attention but have just that little bit of mystery that will make them want to visit your website to find out more.

By remembering these rules you will receive a lot of traffic to your website through your articles and your sales will increase dramatically. Article marketing truly is one of the most effective marketing methods so make sure you do it right to gain the maximum benefit from it.
